Our commitment to creating a better future

Sustainability is a topic that affects our society as a whole. We each explicitly prefer sustainable products and value sustainable behavior, changing needs and values, and legal frameworks on procurement and production.

As a responsible company, we do our bit. We defined three fields in which we are active. We started with the three pillars of sustainability: environmental issues, economic issues, and social issues. From there, we identified the topics of "sustainable software," "sustainable business," and "sustainable company" as our main fields of action.

Sustainable software development is where our creativity shines

Our main concern at adesso is to develop good software. As software engineers, we avoid what is unnecessary. One of our development teams’ mantras is to focus on the essentials, and this attitude flows into all our projects. Our customers benefit from our basic approach: sustainable development also means developing things in a way that conserves resources.

We are a partner that both develops and implements IT projects, that is familiar with industry specifics and understands customer needs and that succeeds in translating these into digital processes, offers or business models for our customers. This is also how we deal with sustainability: we know what motivates our customers and what requirements they have to fulfil.

Reducing our company’s resource consumption

We take our duty to protect the environment seriously. That is why we are working to reduce the direct and indirect impact we have on the environment. Thanks to optimised energy consumption at our locations, new travel and purchasing guidelines and an adapted car policy, adesso is making gradual steps to becoming more sustainable.
